Our First Litter!!

In April of 2018, we started noticing some changes in Lou. She wasn't eating as much as she had been, and she was a lot more restless. We were new at breeding dogs, so Google helped us realize that she was most likely pregnant. We set up an appointment with the vet to get an ultrasound to not only tell us how far along she was, but to also find out how many puppies we should expect.

On April 28th, 2019, we went to check on her, and lo and behold, she had had the puppies! Our vet appointment was set for the next morning! We hurried and cancelled that appointment, and we were so excited! We didn't want to overwhelm her too much, so we let her be, but we could count 6 little puppies in her doghouse!

The first couple months of these puppies' lives went so fast. Lou had two black puppies, one chocolate, two yellows (one of which had one black leg), and one red fox. We loved the time we had with those cute puppies. They grew so fast!

We were able to give each of these puppies a home. :)

The Blake Family chose one of the sweet black pups. They chose the name Drax for him.

Jessica's sister Emily chose this cute puppy. She gave him the name Noah. After a few months, Emily felt unable to give the dog everything he deserved, and she then gave the puppy to her friend.

The Steele family chose the red fox puppy. This was like a match made in heaven. These cute girls connected with this puppy very quickly, and we knew this puppy would be well cared for.

The Voss family chose one of the yellow puppies. They have a family of special needs, and they  had decided to put this puppy through service dog training. This puppy's name is Yoshi.

Lindy came down with her friend to pick up our cute (and only) female puppy. She was going to be used as a therapy dog. The connection between the two was so special!

We chose to keep the chocolate puppy, and we will put up a post about our sweet dog :)

One of the biggest regrets we have about the first litter was not keeping in contact with our buyers. We would love to know how each of these puppies are doing, but unfortunately that's not possible. With our coming litters, we plan on doing our best to keep in contact with each of the buyers so we can post updates and see how those sweet dogs are doing :)
